If you are wanting to make a few changes to make your life healthier without being overwhelmed with huge changes, you’re in the right place. We are here to introduce 4 tips that you can easily incorporate into your life, to make your life healthier without having to make huge changes or sacrifices. With these changes, including having drinking smoothies, having healthy ready meals delivered and aiming to do more steps, you can notice such a big difference in how you feel.

Eat More Protein

Our first tip is to eat more protein! Protein is such an important component of our diets, as the majority of our bodily functions need protein to perform at their best. So, with each meal, you should aim to eat around a handful of protein.

This could be chicken breast, Greek yoghurt with fruit for dessert, tofu, mixed beans, fish, lean beef mince and so much more! Just try to eat leaner versions of protein to get the most out of them. You will feel so much more energised as a result so definitely give it a go!

If you aren’t into cooking or don’t have the time, try prepared meal delivery to give you quick easy and delicious food that you know is packed full of healthy protein.

Aim for 5,000 Steps a Day

Many people say you should aim for 5,000 steps a day, but for most people, this is very unrealistic, especially if you are just starting out in making positive changes. So, start by aiming for 5,000 steps a day and once you are used to that habit, you could try increasing it, or maybe just doing a few extra thousand steps over the weekend.

In order to achieve this, try getting off public transport a few stops early on your way to work or parking at a slightly further away car park. Why not take a quick walk on your lunch break or after work to unwind after a busy day. Once you get into the routine, you will really enjoy your steps and feel so much better for it.

Start Your Day With A Smoothie

Another thing you can do to make a positive change is to start your day with a smoothie! With the right recipes, smoothies are packed full of great vitamins that will really set you up for the day to come. You will know you’ve fuelled your body early on and this will help to create a positive mindset for the rest of the day.

So, combine a couple of your favourite fruits like mango, pineapple or berries. Then, add half a banana which helps to make it creamy. Add a small handful of greens (spinach or kale) for a boost of vitamins, and we promise you won’t taste it! For some real goodness, add ground flax seeds and some chia seeds that are great for your brain health and really affordable at discount supermarkets. Finish your smoothie with water or half water and half fruit juice, blend until smooth and enjoy!

The best tip we can give you is to buy frozen fruit for your smoothies as it’s so much more affordable. To save time if you have a busy schedule, put all of your ingredients minus the liquid in your blender cup, pop it in the fridge and then blend with the water in the morning so you have a nice fresh smoothie!

Get 8 Hours of Sleep

One final tip is to get 8 hours of sleep. Your brain needs time to unwind and recharge when you sleep, so this is one of the most important things you can do to boost your energy and live a healthier lifestyle overall.

To do this, start to unwind when it comes to bedtime by not going on your phone, reading your book and doing something that really relaxes you, perhaps meditation or a face mask. Figure out what time you need to get up in the morning and count 8 hours backwards and we promise it can be transformative for your life!
